Francis Cohen and Lise Mattio have written a 100-question book to help renovate health, safety and working conditions committees (CHSCT). A practical guide that incorporates the best practices observed and the developments driven by the El Khomri and Rebsamen laws.
The laws on labor (known as El Khomri, named after the minister) and social dialogue (known as Rebsamen) are leading the health, safety and working conditions committee (CHSCT) to become a key player in the prevention of occupational hazards and quality of life at work. Francis Cohen and Lise Mattio are convinced of this, and have put together a guide to help members of the CHSCT renovate the way they work. Inspired by tried-and-tested best practices and up to date with regulatory developments, this book provides a comprehensive and easy-to-understand approach to the various facets of the CHSCT, in the form of 100 questions and answers.

Ways to help CHSCTs take action

The book helps to identify and implement concrete actions to protect the physical and mental health of employees, while rigorously complying with legal and regulatory requirements in the sensitive field of health and safety at work.

Readers will find practical answers to questions such as: “How are CHSCT members appointed?”, “What are the rules governing the use of time credits?”, “How to analyze a workplace accident? “How to deal with the development of psycho-social risks? How to deal with the development of psycho-social risks”, “In the event of moral harassment”, “In the event of changes to working hours”, “When setting up an open space”, etc.

The book provides methods and tools (call for applications, CHSCT deliberations, inspection report template, etc.) for all social players (HR, occupational health service, occupational health and safety referents, employee representatives).

At the end of each chapter, a knowledge test enables you to assess what you have learnt, providing employers and elected representatives with the keys to building a social dialogue around occupational risk prevention and quality of life at work.
