Four options for enhancing your EFQM commitment
EFQM offers comprehensive recognition programs and awards for organizations of all sizes and in all sectors. Whatever the maturity of your path to excellence, the AFNOR group can help you identify the most appropriate level.
Several options are available to EFQM-compliant organizations to show their ecosystem that they are committed to improving their performance.
Committed to Excellence (C2E): based on self-assessment, recognition enables improvement projects to be identified, prioritized and implemented, and then validated by an external assessor.
Recognized for Excellence (R4E): a comprehensive assessment based on the EFQM excellence model provides the organization with a detailed report, a plan for progress, and recognition of the results achieved.
The French Quality Performance Awards The French Quality Performance Awards are presented to the best national organizations in 3 progressive categories: finalist, winner and overall winner. They provide genuine recognition of the efforts made by French business players in terms of Quality and Performance.
The EFQM European Excellence Awards: every year, the AFNOR group invites local companies to take part in the EFQM Excellence Awards. Participants undergo a full assessment by a team of experienced assessors, who devote an average of 500 hours to each application. These awards recognize organizations whose results and management practices are judged to be the most effective.
Following on from Grundfos distribution and La Poste Group’s mail and parcel services branch in 2014, two companies from the South-West of France were honored in 2015. The Bosch Diesel Systems plant in Onet-le-Château, near Rodez, was recognized for its ability to effectively manage change and achieve remarkable results over the long term. Directly employing 1,600 people, the site is at the heart of a major investment program by the Bosch Group.
” The jury recognized our managerial approach: the way we prepare and deploy our strategy, the management of the actions implemented and the regular review of the results obtained,” sums up Patrick Meillaud, the plant’s economic director. ” The involvement of employees at all levels of our business has also been rewarded. “Such recognition is symptomatic of the plant’s territorial roots. ” While we are a European, and even a global, company, we are committed to the quality of our relationships with our immediate environment, local authorities and all other organizations. Before adding, ” For us, this prize is also a reward for all those who support the company in the town, since we contribute to the livelihood of almost 10,000 people around Rodez. ”
Toulouse-based SCLE SFE was one of the finalists. This is a remarkable distinction for a first-time participant in the competition. A subsidiary of Cofely INEO groupe Engie, the company employs 240 people specialized in urban and rail power and transport networks.
” We decided to take part in this competition to challenge our management system, to go beyond our blank assessments and the official assessments we request every 2 years,” explains Christophe Jeay, Quality-Safety-Environment Manager at SCLE SFE. ” For 1 week, we welcomed 5 high-level European evaluators. They pushed us to improve the definition of our objectives and the means to achieve them, to benchmark more and to involve our supervisors even more. The photo delivered by the evaluation has made us grow even more. To sum up: it was taking part in the competition that was important, rather than the result. So, of course, this distinction is a pleasure: it motivates us even more. ”
