Building an action plan to prevent discrimination and promote equality in the workplace, then promoting it: that’s what’s at stake in a corporate equality, diversity and probity initiative.

Diversity or professional equality… Do we have to make a choice?

Structure your human resources management around notions of equality between men and women, promote diversity and eliminate discrimination… Why choose a single responsible policy and abandon other commitments?

Your company may be piloting several equality, probity or diversity initiatives. There’s no need to make a choice – the most important thing is to meet your commitments. Human values that translate into engaging actions deserve to be promoted! A number of complementary labels can testify to this exemplary approach.

The Professional Equality label

The Égalité professionnelle entre les femmes et les hommes label certifies that you are making continuous improvements on the theme of professional equality between women and men in the management of your human resources. It outlines best practices for structuring a CSR approach around equality, improving working conditions and managerial practices, developing a positive corporate culture… It echoes the Sustainable Development Goals, in this case MDG 5 on gender equality.

The Professional Equality Label Commission represents the interests of both employers and employees. It is chaired by the French Ministry for Women’s Rights (Service des droits des femmes et de l’égalité entre les femmes et les hommes – SDFE-DGCS). In the event of a positive assessment, the company is awarded the label for a period of four years.

Diversity label

Does your corporate social responsibility approach include respect for equal opportunity and the promotion of diversity within the company? Make it known with the Diversity label.

The Diversity label recognizes your actions in favor of diversity, such as the fight against discrimination, inclusive human resources management…

The Diversity Label Commission is co-chaired by the General Delegation for Employment and Vocational Training (DGEFP) and the General Directorate for Administration and the Civil Service (DGAFP). It also brings together employer and employee representatives. Obtaining the Diversity label for 4 years is an opportunity to publicize our commitments and strengthen our employer brand.

Equality and diversity: the alliance of two labels

If you’re committed to both equality and diversity, kill two birds with one stone! Since 2015, you can apply for combined labeling. The combination of the Equal Opportunity label and the Diversity label is a further sign of distinction.

This alliance combines a common core with the specific features of each label. A single application, a single audit, but two signs of distinction awarded for a period of validity of 4 years: simplify your procedures and optimize your costs!
