Show your commitment to reducing food waste

The Anti-Waste and Circular Economy Act (AGEC) of February 2020 provided for the creation of a label to distinguish public and private players committed to combating food waste, a scourge that reaches nearly 10 million tons per year in France, or 30 kg per person per year (source ADEME, 2016). The law aims to halve the quantities produced in 2015:

  • By 2025 in the distribution and foodservice professions
  • By 2030 for players in production, processing and commercial catering.
Label Anti gaspi

At the request of the French Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, the label’s core reference framework was developed in a restricted standardization format, under the aegis of AFNOR. Published in the AFNOR Spec collection, the anti-waste food standard can be consulted . AFNOR Certification is one of the certification bodies authorized to deliver the label on audit to the first players concerned: retailers, wholesalers and food retailers.
