Appointment: Erwan Chagnot is the new Bretagne representative of the AFNOR group
Erwan Chagnot appointed AFNOR regional delegate for Brittany. As a key point of contact for companies and local authorities in the region, its mission is to inform and support them in the use of voluntary standards and associated services: business intelligence, training and certification.
Following the retirement of Claude Girard, Erwan Chagnot has been appointed AFNOR’s regional delegate for Brittany. Originally from Morbihan, he grew up in Quimper and studied in Rennes, where he obtained a PhD in Process Engineering and Nuisance Chemistry. He began his career in industry, developing water and air pollution control processes, before spending ten years providing management support to SMEs. Erwan Chagnot joined AFNOR Certification in 2004, where he developed recognized expertise in auditing and assessing companies in terms of quality, safety, environment and sustainable development.
Based in Le Rheu, a town on the western outskirts of Rennes, it now represents all the AFNOR Group’s businesses to local socio-economic players. For businesses and local authorities, it will deploy support programs backed by a large network of partners.
A regional gateway to information on the most useful certifications for companies, training courses and monitoring solutions, the AFNOR delegation also provides information on voluntary standards, in partnership with the regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where they can be consulted free of charge.
