Remote auditing at AFNOR Certification, virtual classes at AFNOR Compétences, online standards and regulatory watch tools at AFNOR Editions, videoconferencing with standards committees, not to mention webinars, online diagnostics and self-assessment tests… The AFNOR Group remains your trusted remote solutions provider during this period of confinement. Let’s keep in touch!

Spring 2020: the confinement imposed in France and in certain foreign countries in the context of the coronavirus pandemic limits the possibility of opening one’s business to an auditor, or sending employees on training courses. Or simply attend symposia and workshops on subjects close to your heart: quality, environment, energy, purchasing, food safety, etc. Why not do it remotely?

The AFNOR group has organized itself to keep in touch with its customers. As part of its
business continuity plan
the Group has introduced telecommuting rules enabling its employees and partner consultants to provide the same service as in their usual working environment, at head office, in regional delegations or in foreign offices. At AFNOR Certification, for example, “. more than 1,000 auditors have the technical means to carry out remote audits. All those scheduled to audit in March and April are equipped with secure tools for this purpose. “, states its business continuity plan.

Containment: tailored solutions for everyone, on every subject

For organizations and individuals whose aim is to retain their certification or label, AFNOR Certification has developed a range of alternative solutions, broken down by type of certification and taking into account the instructions of accreditation and approval bodies, in addition to the recommendations of public authorities. One specific case in point is Qualiopi certification for vocational training providers, which AFNOR Certification recently carried out for the 200th time requires a face-to-face audit. But don’t panic: an ordinance issued at the end of March 2020 pushed back the deadline for presenting a quality certificate by one year, setting it at January1, 2022, and thus aligning it with that already imposed on apprentice training centers.

AFNOR Compétences, the Group’s training and consulting subsidiary, is also committed to providing the same service remotely as face-to-face, using secure tools. Many face-to-face training courses have migrated to virtual classroom formulas, with
trained facilitator
. By mid-April, 13 classes had been opened, covering topics ranging from metrology and occupational health and safety to environmental management and laboratory quality.

Access to training for employees fully paid for by the State

Good to know too: since April 14, 2020, the General Delegation for Employment and Vocational Training (DGEFP), via the National Employment Fund (FNE), has stepped up the coverage of training costs to meet the needs of companies on partial activity. Employers can apply for full reimbursement of training costs incurred by their employees on part-time work, using a simplified document on the website of their regional labor authority (
Direccte
), leading to a simplified agreement with the French government.

If your organization meets the criteria, you can now offer your part-time employees the opportunity to take part in training courses covered by the scheme (50% at the start of the action, 50% after completion and production of a report). All this, without using the employee’s personal training account (CPF). However,“the application will be examined in greater detail, particularly with regard to the justification of the hourly cost if the training exceeds 1,500 euros“, explains Bruno Lucas, General Delegate for Employment and Vocational Training (DGEFP).
