When a voluntary standard evolves, the organizations that use it have to keep up to date. This is typically what happened in 2015, when two flagship standards, ISO 9001 on quality management and ISO 14001 on environmental management, were updated. But comparing the two versions of a standard, the old and the new, is a tedious process. And yet it is essential if we are to bring our products and services into line with the new requirements. This stage requires a lot of time and resources, with the risk of missing out on important changes.

With this in mind, AFNOR Editions has developed a new and innovative service for its customers: Redlines+ Standards Comparator. Available from the AFNOR Editions store, as an option on Saga Web and soon on Webport, it enables you to dynamically compare two versions of a standard. At a glance, you can see all the major changes between the new version and the old one. This saves time and enables immediate prioritization of the changes made.

AN INTUITIVE TOOL

Changes made between the two versions of the standard are highlighted on a single document. From the table of contents, you can see which chapters have been modified, the number of changes per chapter, and a summary of the main changes. Finally, you can interactively display the different types of change (addition, deletion, modification) on the entire document (text, figure, table, formula).

Redlines+ Standards Comparator is available for the entire collection of AFNOR standards in force, as soon as a standard replacing another standard is published. And all this throughout the year, in line with official publications.
