Lean: Agnès Dies and Thierry Verilhac share their tips for avoiding the pitfalls
There are many books on implementing a lean approach. Few, however, offer an analysis of failures and how to avoid them. That’s the challenge of this new book, published by Agnès Dies and Thierry Verilhac (AFNOR).
The two authors offer an overview of the main obstacles likely to hinder the development of a lean approach, a performance improvement method that is also a state of mind, enabling immediate, valuable and highly significant gains to be made.
The choice of themes is not intended to cover all risk situations, but at least to be representative of the most common and riskiest sequences.
Aimed in particular at operational teams who have had a difficult time implementing lean management, or who have expressed doubts, this highly practical book will help ensure smooth and successful implementation.
TWO WITNESSES TO LEAN MANAGEMENT
For several years now, the two authors have been helping companies with their lean processes. They witnessed and played a part in the successes, but also analyzed the failures they witnessed and identified the main obstacles to success.
Their book, which complements their “100 questions” already published by AFNOR Editions, identifies these difficulties and, above all, their sources.
The authors recommend detection methods and, above all, propose effective solutions. Short, to the point and written in a straightforward language that speaks to professionals, this book should help you avoid many pitfalls and bitter failures.
Lean – 1,2,3 Partez ! is aimed at people in all sectors of industry, services, distribution… And in particular to managers, executives, logistics departments, design and purchasing departments, employees and, more generally, to all those who are reluctant to embrace lean…
