As Paris prepares to host the 2024 Olympic Games, the AFNOR Group is helping to combat doping, with its solutions based on voluntary standards and certifications. Would you have thought that AFNOR would be involved in the fight against doping?
Well, yes, with its solutions based on voluntary standards.
The latest example is the launch of a project for a new European voluntary standard for food supplements and sports foods.
The aim is to harmonize industrial manufacturing practices guaranteeing the absence of doping substances, thanks to a standard designed by and for manufacturers, under the aegis of the CEN (European Committee for Standardization).
AFNOR is playing its part, being ahead of the game with its own text, already in force in France: the voluntary standard NF V94-001.
AFNOR’s anti-doping approach also means recognizing the efforts made by specialists in the field, through certification.
A case in point is Azerbaijan’s fledgling anti-doping agency, which felt the need to be audited under the prism of ISO 9001 version 2015, in order to demonstrate that its work process is of the highest quality.
At the helm: AFNOR Russia, and its auditor Leonid Dvorkin.
