2024 Gold Standards trophies winners

The Trophées Or Normes 2024 awards ceremony took place on October 17, 2024. Six winners were rewarded for using the voluntary standard in the development of their activities.

Ecological transition category

Winner: VEOLIA – Promoting the circular economy

Trophées Or Normes - Veolia

Project: Development of the first international standards on the circular economy(ISO 59004, 59010, 59020) and widespread promotion of the work carried out. The aim: to develop a common language and framework for implementing the circular economy, and to create monitoring tools and a product circularity data sheet.

Winner (ex aequo): TOTALENERGIES – Decarbonizing maritime transport

Trophées Or Normes - TotalEnergie

Project: Contribute to the decarbonization of marine transport by integrating the use of biodiesels into the ISO 8217 standard. As a reference base for the production of biofuels, this standard develops marine fuel specifications to meet the current challenges of greenhouse gas reduction, while offering directly applicable solutions.

Trusted and responsible digital category

Winner: ETHIK-IA – Ensuring a human guarantee for AI in healthcare

Trophées Or Normes - Ethic

Project: Steering the work of AFNOR SPEC 2213 ” Human guarantee of systems based on artificial intelligence in healthcare “. This AFNOR SPEC is intended to help improve the acceptability of AI in healthcare and strengthen digital trust. It also provides a foundation for establishing the Human Guarantee label, launched in February 2022, in partnership with the Digital Medical Hub.

Category A more inclusive society contributing to well-being

Winners: The Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty and the Ministry of Equality between Women and Men and the Fight against Discrimination.

Trophées Or Normes - Meae

Project: In conjunction with the French Ministry for Equality between Women and Men and the Fight against Discrimination, and the French Ministry for the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, we have developed the international standard ISO 53800, a lever for promoting gender equality. This standard enables public and private organizations to integrate gender equality and women’s empowerment into their strategies, actions and operations.

La Mairie de Pessac – Helping local authorities define a sustainable budget

Project: Co-piloting, with the Eurométropole de Strasbourg, the work of AFNOR SPEC 2402 “Budget soutenable en lien avec les objectifs du développement durable pour les collectivités territoriales”. This AFNOR SPEC offers local players a pragmatic, rigorous and transparent method for steering, evaluating and improving their actions, based on unifying objectives.

ECOLAB (Ministère de la Transition écologique) and Commissariat général au développement durable – Working towards frugal AI

Trophées Or Normes - Ecolab

Project: Impetus and coordination of work on AFNOR SPEC 2314 ” Référentiel général pour l’IA frugale – Mesurer et réduire l’impact environnemental de l’IA “. This AFNOR SPEC provides a methodological framework for integrating environmental criteria into AI services, as well as an environmental assessment methodology. Finally, it identifies good frugal practices to be deployed.
